Selena Gomez as Mavis and a View of Hotel Transylvania

Miley Cyrus is out and Selena Gomez is in. We are talking about the upcoming animated feature film, Hotel Transylvania. You heard it here when Cyrus left the film, leaving a key role open for Gomez. The movie’s official Facebook page offers all kinds of goodies, including these film banners. The Sony Pictures Animation comes out September 21st, 2012, starring Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James Fran Drescher, David Koechner, Cee Lo Green, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon and David Spade. Its directed by Genndy Tartakovsky. I think it’ll be just enough parts spooky and fun.

Hotel Transylvania is run by Dracula as a resort for ghouls and monsters and their families. When an ordinary boy winds up there things get pretty interesting. Just don’t tell Dracula that the young man has a crush on Mavis.

Gomez is quickly becoming a movie making machine. We have reported on her cameo in the earthquake thriller, Aftershock; on the adaptation, The Sky is Everywhere; and on the gritty Spring Breakers.
