Latin Billboards: Jennifer Lopez Brings Down the House

The Latin Billboard Awards on Thursday night were dominated by Jennifer Lopez, whose live debut of her Spanish single "El Anillo" may have been a giant hint to beau Alex Rodriguez. Translated it means "The Ring."

In any case, she brought down the house, Entertainment Tonight reported.

The stage was set as back up dancers wearing jumpsuits shimmied around a massive lotus flower, but all eyes were on J.Lo, who sparkled in a sheer jumpsuit laced with diamonds and paired with a shimmering headpiece.

Afterwards, Lopez laughed it off when asked if she was ready to tie the knot and whether the new song was an ode to A Rod, who she has been dating since March 2017, People magazine reported.

"It is a message for all women to ask for what they deserve," she said, per Pop Sugar.

The top albums, songs and performers in Latin music were honored at the prestigious event.

The song "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi and featuring Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee scooped up six trophies, Billboard magazine reported.

Fonsi and Justin Bieber each took home seven awards, while Shakira won five awards that included Latin pop artist of the year, solo, and Latin albums artist of the year, female.
